Over the years i shared a lot about spiritual awakening as I’ve experienced it. However, what i learned is that the majority of us going through an awakening often are experiencing misalignment in our lives. The same thing can be said for how most of us feel at the start of the new year.
Let’s face it, at the start of the year – it can both be liberating and emotionally exhausting! Maybe the previous year didn’t go as planned? Maybe you didn’t accomplish much, or maybe there’s just a lot of pressure to get it right this year?
This can leave us feeling…Stuck, Drained, Overwhelmed, or even disconnected.

When it comes to looking at WHY we feel stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted or mentally everywhere a lot of the times we’re missing one key piece of the puzzle and this is misalignment.
Misalignment is one of those tools that you might not realize is a tool of spiritual growth. For example, when we start to understand our misalignment, we can learn so much more about how we can personally get back into spiritual alignment.
As polarity works, misalignment often shows us exactly what we are missing, neglecting or emotionally needing in our lives. In this way, It’s a powerful tool to help us get back into alignment, ironically.
How to Identify Misalignment
Misalignment is more than just a word where we have misaligned energy. It’s a bit of an umbrella topic. It connects to our emotions, our mindset, and our spiritual self through the Mind-Body Connection.
Understanding Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual Misalignment
As we step into the new year, it’s not uncommon to feel a lack of motivation or a sense of being “off.” This feeling often stems from emotional, mental, or spiritual misalignment. Let’s break down each one and explore how they can show up in our lives.
Mental Misalignment: Addressing Negative Self-Talk
When it comes to mental misalignment, a key area to focus on is our mindset. Take a moment to reflect on the negative self-talk or excuses you’ve been telling yourself. Are they holding you back? These thought patterns can create a mental block that keeps you from moving forward, setting goals, or finding clarity.
Emotional Misalignment: Healing Emotional Baggage
Emotional misalignment often stems from unresolved emotional baggage. This could include how you feel about yourself, your relationships, or how in sync you are with your life.

Spiritual misalignment often shows up as a sense of disconnection from your higher self or spiritual beliefs. It might feel like you’re lost, uncertain about your path, or questioning your sense of purpose.
In some cases, this misalignment can also reflect a struggle with your spiritual beliefs—whether that’s questioning your faith, feeling distant from God, or simply feeling out of sync with your spiritual practices.
The truth is, spiritual misalignment isn’t a one-size-fits-all concept. It’s deeply personal and can manifest differently for everyone. What’s important is to take a step back and assess how connected you feel to your spiritual self and your beliefs.

When it comes to the New year, it’s often normal to feel a little misaligned as we start the year, but How can we stay in check with ourselves so we can start the year strong?
We Must Embrace what helps guide us back into Spiritual Alignment.
When we are aligned, we don’t often realize this but we’re operating in our path of least resistance, which is to say – we’re struggling less.
Spiritual Alignment can often feel complex but In reality – if you were to ask yourself:
- Am I confidently moving forward on my goals?
- Do I take action with my intuition?
- Am I aware of what is worth my time/energy and I give back to myself what I truly need?
- Am I focused on making Better Decisions?
- Do I allow in the sensations of more acceptance, love, joy, and fulfillment?
Spiritual Alignment feels good – However, it’s more than just being positive. It’s about what most authentically resonates with you as your natural path toward success and well-being.

When we think about spiritual alignment, it’s helpful to first understand spiritual misalignment. Spiritual misalignment often shows up as negative emotions or a general sense of feeling “off.” You might feel disconnected from your body, health, emotions, or even your overall life path.
Now, let’s flip that perspective. Spiritual alignment is about stepping into a state of emotional empowerment. It’s feeling emotionally secure with yourself, grounded in your mind, body, and emotions.

Grounding isn’t just about visualizing yourself as a tree! Instead, it’s about finding activities that promote mindfulness through movement:
