Have you ever tripped on psilocybin? It was a major spiritual catalyst for me a few years ago. I haven’t had access to them again until now. My friends are wanting us to all trip together. I just don’t know if it could be its full, spiritually uplifting potential in that environment. Also, I have feelings for one of my friends, and idk if I should be around him while tripping. It could bring us closer together, but it could also distract me or even depress me if I’m rejected by him. Any advice?
Everyone always asks me this and I will honestly answer i have not, i’ve had quite a few tripping experiences on both tryptamines and various psychedelics but i’ve never tripped on pure psilocybin. For some reason that drug just never comes to me, you know there’s that saying “the drug finds you, you don’t find the drug” well i’ve never been in the right situation to try it so i just haven’t yet. I also haven’t tripped in a long time, i am currently pregnant. 🙂 Anyway my fiance is well-versed in psilocybin and has written on it before here: http://theawakenedstate.tumblr.com/post/43575251696/mushrooms#notes
Also check out Terence Mckenna’s work on the subject there is some mindbending lectures and novels on his work towards psychedelics/dmt. Very fascinating if you interested in learning more.
As for your situation i say listen to your intuition, if you have a bad feeling going in you are bound to have a bad time. With any tripping experience, you want your mind to be in a good place before you take the trip down the rabbit hole otherwise whatever you are feeling is bound to come up. I don’t think it necessarily means you’re going to express your feelings to your friend, if anything you will probably be more empathetic with your friends, feel connection, oneness with nature and community. Tripping isn’t like alcohol, you’re not going to be fully out of control of your cognitive functions. 9 times out of 10 i usually feel more lucid than anything and more clear-minded but that is just me. I think i’ve done more stupid things on alcohol than i ever have tripping haha. In general just really listen to your gut feeling about this, it might be fun for you, it sounds like you will be with friends if anything does go wrong you will have people there. It’s hard to say every tripping experience is a gamble. I’ve had good and bad trips but every single one has taught me something profound about myself that i needed to see and hear. So you have to decide for yourself, are you willing to take the plunge on a leap of faith or are you going to let fear take over your emotions instead?
Really think about how you are going to feel and how that may affect you during the trip.
Hope this helps!
