Hi Ash! Thank you for your lovely blog. I’ve been experiencing many nightmares and fears recently,some personal, some about the state of the world. Can you recommend a simple, basic way to process these experiences and raise my vibration? I realize I am a fear-based person but I find it hard to break out of that. Peace and joy to you.

Our fears are simply our subconscious mind trying to take over and usually there’s a past life lesson to be involved and learned. Fear is nothing but karmic based illusions nothing more. Nightmares are hormonal based and usually caused by releasing those fears in the dream state. Our Fears are generated from our lower chakras in particular our Root which helps us ground our consicousness into the Earth and Also the Solar Plexus which is where we learn to control our ego, our mind and also our fears.
There are many things you can do to learn to help you with your nightmares and fears. The first thing is realize that fears are nothing more than vast illusions conjured from the mind experiencing vast anxiety from the past and future self. Usually when you’re in a state of fear your mind is going a million miles an hour which projects anxious behavior and a fight or flight response that pertains to our Adrenals.
So the Second thing you want to do is learn to discipline your mind and learn to control your Anxiety. When our body goes into a state of Anxiety our thoughts are processing to the point where we cannot control them but you can learn to control your thoughts by the power of awareness and discipline of learning to be the observer of your own thought patterns. Learn to question your mind and your thoughts when you experience them. It takes a bit of focus but the more you do it the better you will become and the more happier you will be.
The Third thing you can do is practice Meditation and by Meditation I mean Creating a Still Mind. It’s very easy to get caught up within our daily lives without coming out for air. We need this time to ourselves otherwise we get consumed with these stress hormones, cortisol. When you have a busy life the best thing you can do for your consciousness is learn to relax it as much as you can instead of promoting stress in the body. A simple Meditation start out at 5 minutes then 10 then 20 then 30 and work your way up until you feel a state of peace and calm. You can do meditation anywhere and everywhere you don’t need a yoga mat, candles, dim lighting, music, etc. though they do help, you can really do meditation anywhere. It starts with INNER awareness. By opening yourself to an inner awareness you experience a state where you are more an observer of your mind rather than letting your thoughts control you. In time you get better at this and even when we have rough days, when you remember to meditate you will surprised how easy it is to get back into that awareness. You can even do it in your car at stoplights, stop to feel your inner body, feel the energy around your aura and you will slowly see this awareness is always with you and always has been.
Now as for Nightmares this is fear that cannot be stopped because it is being projected within our dreams for a reason of clearing and releasing. Sometimes Fear teaches us things, it helps us see through the illusions it also teaches us to see behind the ego. One thing i always do when i have a case of Nightmares is i use some calming stones to help me sleep better. Amethyst is an excellent stone for insomnia, sobriety and clearing negative energy. It is wonderful for dream work and dispelling nightmares. Just slip them under your pillow and it will help promote good sleep, i swear by this method. I had some crazy dreams when pregnant because of my hormones and as soon as i slipped the amethyst under my pillow it helped a lot 🙂 Another Good stone is Lepidolite, It’s called the peace stone for a reason, it helps promote a strong peaceful serene energy which is excellent for worrying thoughts or fears. Rose Quartz the Love stone is another one that is good for nightmares because it helps with Anxiety. It has a very gentle energy that is not in your face but also helps teach you the ways of the Heart Center and how to open it. It’s a beautiful stone for Self-love and attracting love into your Life. Malachite is another good one for getting rid of nightmares because it helps stimulate inner imagery and protection.
