Self care and self love are truly the ticket to weight lost. It almost sounds crazy but i swear everytime i would dwell on my weight and appearance rather than just be happy and have positive self-esteem the worse i would feel. Then the more positive i felt the more likely i would be inspired to lose weight and i’ve already lost almost 50lbs since then!
A good diet and exercise are always good as well but ultimately the true secret is your self-esteem towards yourself!
Loving yourself, crack that heart chakra fully open and just accept the good the bad and the ugly. It will take time but soon you’ll see that we all have our own flaws, no one is truly perfect. Learn to love imperfection because we all have them! No one is really a supermodel deep down. It’s ironic especially i’ll see this on tumblr, the skinny girls think they’re fat and they’ll be like a toothpick,the heavier girls think they’re beautiful because they accept themselves for who they are and are comfortable in their own body. That’s truly what it is about. It’s about being comfortable within your own skin and accepting and loving yourself. Good self-esteem is the best diet regiment out there. I also believe in self-care, take time out for you, do things you specifically enjoy and do it for you. Pamper yourself with things that make you happy. I think it’s also awesome to set goals for yourself, it helps keep that solar plexus in check and it makes you feel good as you work on them and accomplish them. Positive affirmations such as I love myself for who i am or I love my body no matter what i look like are also great ways to help boost your confidence.
Also don’t weigh yourself everyday, your body weight fluctuates all the time, if you are crazy body conscious you will nitpick at yourself all the time when really this is just a natural process of our bodies and how they regulate. You are normal. You are beautiful just the way you are, love youself <3
