My much older “friend” gave me a tree sap rock when I was very young, and seamed eager to get rid of it.
Through out my life, during the time of owning this rock, I would have midnight stares, walking people in my room, and the worst one, which was right before I was going to bed, I had seen a tall lanky black long clawed “demon” crawling inches from my face as I had went to turn out the light.
(Mind you, I had been studying non denominational christian ideas for 10+ yrs)
Turns out, years later, when I had dated a white witch; she had inspected this rock, and came to the conclusion that it had a spirit inside of it. To which she called her mentor, and she certified the statement.
To make this crazy accusation justified in my mind, I called the guy who gave me this rock, and instructed me to burry the rock somewhere far away. -(the only thing I asked him was if he remembered giving it to me, nothing else)
My x and her mentor stated one thing about this “spirit” – its name was oblivion- which is someone who is forgotten, or a gate to the forgotten dimension.
Do you have any thought of my night terrors, and visual experiences? (One of many)
P.S.- I gave her the rock (:
In this same way I don’t fully believe this Rock was possessed, it was a symbol or talisman of your inner fears you were releasing. We have to think of these things as if we are truly living within a dream inside a dream. For instance if we break this down, Your friend gave you the rock and throughout time you had these experiences of fear while having the rock, then when you decided to “bury it” and give it away, these fears i’m assuming stopped? And your White Witch girfriend at the time says it was called Oblivion. Oblivion is known as the void space, our unconscious, The unconscious is home to our fears. Really what i am getting at with the concept of the shadow self is that this is purely perspective. The rock is you. It is a part of you which is why it generated a reaction from you and why you needed to bury it. It’s a symbol of the confrontation of the Shadow and you yourself facing your fears and insecurities. There was truly no demon, this was merely a vision from your mind personified into an object of your understanding. I remember one time when i first got my tarot deck and i experienced this crazy static noise from my voice recorder, i thought there was a ghost inside my deck or that it was possessed. Over time, i learned that it wasn’t a ghost at all, it was merely myself and my own energy which i didn’t understand at the time. This is the same concept if people who are tripping and say they see dragons and snake climbing the walls. This is their own insecurities personified in the form of symbols, like a vision. The power is always within the mind and how we see, how we control the energy, our perspective of life and how it generates and personifies into our waking reality. In time you will see that it wasn’t the demon that possessed the rock, It was you who possessed the rock.
hope this helps
Much love <3
