I’m not one to believe in soul mates or that there is only one person out there for you, but I keep having dreams about my ex boyfriend. We had such a deep connection and I can’t seem to get over the fact that we aren’t supposed to be together. I have dreams about him all the time and think about him constantly and I feel like if these feelings aren’t fading after a year, it’s a sign we should be together even though all other signs point to no. I don’t know how to interpret this…
It’s possible, it could also mean you are working on healing yourself, these are memories you are healing. gosh i remember when i broke up with my ex i dreamt about him constantly. It felt like he haunted me in many ways. It also means you deeply still love and care for him. Maybe you didn’t get the closure you wanted? Maybe you didn’t get the answers you needed? Maybe he is reaching out to you? Only you truly know this answer. You could try talking to him or simply write a letter with all your feelings down, act like you’re writing to him or if you feel brave you could even send it.
It really sounds to me like you miss him so much, he’s entered into your dream memories and your brain is on replay right now. Break ups suck flat out but we also can’t hold onto the past because it already happened. We need to be strong, carry on, learn to love yourself again and then the magic will start happening again. You need to confront yourself i feel like, these dreams are about your heart. How you feel, what you’re possibly suppressing, what is still unanswered, these are all within yourself.
One song lyric that always stuck with me during my heartache is
“You will not ever be forgotten by me
In the precession of the mighty stars
your name is sung and tattooed now on my heart
here I will carry carry carry you
Be strong, even those that have left us, still remain within our heart
I send you love and healing light <3
