Lately i’m having a hard time drinking coffee, i’m not sure if it’s me because i’m breastfeeding( and need more water, you have to drink like a fish while bfing) or if it’s these new energies coming because i never had this problem before. Caffeine is a little disturbing to me too because i was reading about Caffeine powder after Adam took some and had a bad experience on it. It’s like crazy intense to the point where if you have too much caffeine it can become lethal. So i was thinking about this, why is it Caffeine is our drug of choice, does it put the body on auto pilot? Not to mention all those pops and various energy drinks that are popular in society have loads of caffeine that causes addiction. Caffeine locks adenosine receptors in the brain,
“ This reduces the ability of adenosine to bind to the receptors, which would slow down cellular activity. The stimulated nerve cells release the hormone epinephrine (adrenaline), which increases heart rate, blood pressure, and blood flow to muscles, decreases blood flow to the skin and organs, and causes the liver to release glucose. Caffeine also increases levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine.”
Dopamine also connects to spiritual experiences and the pineal gland, so if taken in high doses one can become narcotic because it’s like having an overactive pineal gland. It basically puts your mind ahead of your body which is why you can easily have mind slips, anxiety, worry about the future, etc. while on a lot of caffeine. So if our Dopamine is increased we enter insomnia, wouldn’t this kinda max out our adrenals(throwing off the root chakra in some cases) and probably messing with our pineal gland and intuition in excess making everything overactive causing imbalance. Caffeine can be healthy in some ways if you use in moderation, it’s just when people get excessively addicted via coffee, soda pops, energy shots/drinks, etc. Basically half of our society lol. So it’s interesting that the morning drug of choice is connected to our feel good hormone Dopamine who influences the pineal gland.
“Dr. Dean Hamer, a molecular geneticist, claims he has identified the god gene in human DNA. The god gene is the gene that gives us the experience of bliss by releasing the “feel good” chemicals in our body – dopamine and serotonin. It is the DNA gene of our pineal gland.”
I’d personally love to explore this topic more on a spiritual level. Just curious Do many of you guys also have this problem with caffeine and any thoughts on how it effects people? Instead i’m switching to homemade Chai Tea lattes, it taste just as good and it’s half the caffeine as a cup of coffee 🙂
