It’s been awhile my friends, I decided to take a break so I could focus on finishing up my Ecourse Project. Surprisingly, I’ve learned a lot in this process of creation which leads to today’s topic. Why Your Ego is your Greatest Teacher.
I’d personally just like to clear the air about this – My ecourse project has been the hardest but most profound step for The Awakened State.
If you don’t know I’ve been working on it for two years LOL.
However my Ego kept getting in the way, in the process of releasing this course I have had all sorts of my major upper limits come up for me. Almost as if – I kept asking myself: Are you really sure you want to do this?
I became the Queen of Perfectionism.
I went through 2 different drafts, I still didn’t like it – So instead I went on this own exploration journey and my Intuition created something entirely different than what I originally had planned as 12 modules. It is now 8 officially.
Did I mention I’m an over-achiever?
The funny thing is once I got over all the doubt, B.S. and general resistance.
The final draft for the course barely took a month. A month.
2 years of resistance to basically creating something that took a month. Granted Recording and editing is a different story BUT the material itself literally flew out of me the moment I got out of the damn way.
Do you see the problem here?
Our Ego is funny, I recently wrote this in my journal and thought I’d share it:
“We often make things way more BIGGER and Hairy scary than it actually seems. We need to stop taking it so seriously and enable the playful vibes instead”
Let’s face it, our ego is a drama queen, It is the part of ourselves that plays the victim and we ALL do it.
Denying yourself or saying you don’t have an ego is pointless – we all have a shadow side.
When we choose to push our shadow away by denying it, avoiding it, or somehow trying to rid ourselves of our ego – you are kinda wasting your time.
Don’t deny your humanness. (I think as star beings, we sometimes need this reminder)
I’ve learned over time that we must make friends with our ego, we need to sit down, have a chat, a cup of tea and really, let’s just get cute, we need to give our ego a hug.
As my friend Vito Mucci would say, “It’s just a crabby driver”
We must start laughing at our Ego because we need to stop giving it so much power over our lives.
Our Light, The positive is stronger, the love is stronger, higher vibrations cancel out our lower vibrations, this is law. Fear is literally a dense vibration, our Negativity is literally a lower frequency, all we need to do is stop giving it our power and inevitably we will begin rising .
My Life radically changed the moment I stopped shaming my ego or beating myself up for having one. BOOM.
That isn’t to say that it still doesn’t come up because guess what, it will 🙂
I think this is a topic that gets pushed to the side a lot and it is our authentic vulnerability that truly is the catalyst.
Now I’m not of the mentality where we need to bask in our pain, breathe into it and wait for the miracle. What I’m really saying here is that our Ego is a tool we can use to start witnessing our patterns, our limited beliefs and most of all what we are pushing up against. our Fears.
When we become willing to see differently, we can begin starting to Change Our Energy. Our Perspectives. Our Patterns. & inevitably transmuting these fears into our PASSIONATE STRENGTHS.
YOUR EGO IS ACTUALLY SERVING YOU
Your Ego is not here just to dis-empower you, leave you feeling awful or hinder your potential. Your Ego is made to keep you safe and teach you lessons about yourself.
Your Ego is a tool into how your mind is working which really means, that the ego is the human part of us that has emotions, battles resistance and inevitably breaks through that resistance into a period of growth and expansion.
When we’re really facing the Ego what we are secretly saying to ourselves is “I’m afraid to expand and grow. I’m afraid to truly let go and detach from this old me, old story, old pattern, old habit, old Limit”
Here’s the really funny thing – This is going to get you and you’re going to be like she just said that?!
What we’re really thinking when we feel resistance is that we’re afraid of ourselves.
We’re afraid of our power. Our Soul Peaking through.
Because we live in a beautiful self-correcting Universe and your Soul is trying to pull you along the way, like a good best friend.
But your Ego is the catalyst to that expansion. So if you’re clinging on for dear life – what is happening?
You’re not willing to let go of the old energy. the old you.
We let our “littleness” get in the way, I was actually starting to see why I didn’t want to release the course.
I was afraid of my power. I was afraid of myself. (WHAT?!)
As Marianne Williamson says in this quote that still gives me chills:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Absorb that one in deep.
Are you choosing to play small and giving more power to your fear than Your Power. Your Love. Your Strength.?
So today let me remind you that you are a magnificent creator and sometimes we forget that and it’s totally 100% okay.
You just pick yourself back up and keep going.
Because your soul is leading the way.
Cheers to that.
(P.S. Special Note. I really didn’t like the bizarre music I was using haha so I changed it so it’s more in alignment with what I’m about, Feel Good Vibes. Maybe it’s a bit much but whatever, I’m just having fun with it. haha Special Mention to Nick Gunner who Contributed the song – Lucid Dreaming 🙂 )
So What is your own soul takeaway? How do you feel about the ego being a tool towards our well-being?
I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
